Wader flocks

Peak District Moorland Group

In common with our resident red grouse, our waders that returned a couple of weeks ago get into flocks when the weather turns rough.

These are some breeding curlew and lapwing on a managed for grouse shooting moor in the Dark Peak, taken yesterday - before the real snow arrived with us last night!
