Vandals.
Peak District Moorland Group
Some organisations and vocal individuals appear to be constantly demanding greater rights of access to our fragile and often designated moorland and rural areas.
There is already access agreements set up from 2000 in the Countryside Rights of Way act (CRoW act), but for varied reasons there are regulations applied which visitors must adhere to, for the greater good for everything.
It’s a sad state of affairs when information signs are either pulled down or defaced, and shows a complete lack of understanding and empathy to landowners and their employees, who are doing their best in providing a place for all to enjoy, whilst also balancing flora and fauna biodiversity gains, carbon capture positives and water quality improvements.
