Time to learn.

Yorkshire Dales Moorland Group

Yesterday keepers from the YDMG were delighted to attend Skipton & Craven college to speak to students about gamekeeping and moorland management. The presentation was broad ranging and featured sections on heather burning, habitat creation, predation control and curlew conservation. Many other topics were covered and the students contributed with questions and a discussion. A follow up event is destined for later in the month with a field trip to the Bolton Abbey estate for students. Thank you to all involved especially the staff at the college who facilitated the day and also to the keepers who provided an excellent account of their conservation roles. Here at YDMG we look forward to working on projects with the college going forward.
