We have had some fantastic warm sunny weather this week and looking ahead to the bank holiday weekend the forecast is for more of the same. I would say it looks a great weekend for getting out and about in the countryside and enjoying and exploring the #NorthYorkMoors.

PLEASE be aware of the dry conditions and the increased risk of Moorland fires. Yesterday we posted about the fire caused by the steam train and this is the fifth one this month so please be extra vigilant don’t light fires or BBQ’s and don’t discard matches, cigarettes or glass.

Remember if you do see smoke at this time of year then this is definitely not planned burning carried out by a #GameKeeper but it will be a wildfire so please raise the alarm as soon as you can.
