At an early age wader chicks rely on their camouflage and ability to remain immobile to prevent being eaten by predators.

After hatching many ground nesting birds have a challenging time until they are fully fledged and on the wing.

On ground, such as grouse moors, and importantly land close to these managed areas, fledging success is often higher than areas with no management intervention.

“We” have been tackling the much talked about nature crisis for generations. Many of our areas are positively contributing to population increases, not a sink, like areas with a hands off approach to management…
