Right as rain

Calderdale Moorland Group

Over the past few months the weather as been very unprecedented, we have all enjoyed the prolonged dry periods. But this has resulted in our hills becoming very dry and our reservoirs becoming dangerously low, we are now seeing extra measures taking place to transfer water between reservoirs.

The recent rainfall has started to replenish the dry gully’s on the moors, although it will take a great deal of time to fill the reservoirs back to a safer level.
