Christmas holidays are for making memories if you’re a 9 year old lady, living in a Peak District rural community.

But this memory is not about what Father Christmas left her: it’s more about her attending her first full day as a beater on her local pheasant shoot on the moorland edge, taking her favourite dog Brook.

The poor weather didn’t deter her at all, integrating with all age groups, outdoor exercise, following instructions and going to bed with rosey cheeks - what a fantastic outdoor classroom.
